Gearbox makes grinding sound when rolling/no load or acceleration?
just had a brass button clutch installed, box was already a little noisy but now (no suprise really) its getting louder, however gear change is smooth, clutch engages properly and all gears work fine but when cruising for example, at the point between accelerating and de-accelating the box makes a grinding sound (sounds like a bearing packed it in) but only with no load, and if above 100mph the whole thing sounds like it has no oil or almost like the teeth havent engaged properly,
what do you think might be the issue here?

brass button clutch, alloy fly wheel
stock, series 5 Rx7 (1986) 5sp gearbox
stock differential (yes still running)
trans bearings ng/needs a rebuild/watch out for sustained hi speed runs /trans gears will move around due to heat and with bad bearings the whole thing can be junk
